Yvette Fisher, Assistant Professor of Neurobiology, is a recipient of an NIH Director's New Innovator Award for her project “How Does Neuromodulation Shape the Fluidity of Spatial Working Memory?” The award was established in 2007 to support unusually innovative research from early career investigators.

Former MCB faculty and UC Berkeley alumna Carolyn Bertozzi has received the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry “for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry”.

We are excited to announce the recipients of our annual MCB Outstanding Postdoctoral Fellows Awards! Each year, the department honors five postdocs (one in each division) for excellence in research, leadership, and service.
