Susan Marqusee | Selected to Head Biological Sciences Directorate at NSF

Congratulations to Susan Marqusee on her new leadership role as Assistant Director at the NSF starting June 20, 2023. Marqusee will work for the federal government on loan from UC Berkeley to lead the NSF's effort across the BIO Directorate and work together with the rest of the executive leadership team to further the overall mission of the NSF. During her appointment, Marqusee will continue her research program at Cal under NSF's Independent Research/Development program, which allows employees to remain actively involved with their professional research while at NSF.
