Carolyn Bertozzi | 2022 NOBEL PRIZE

Former MCB faculty and UC Berkeley alumna Carolyn Bertozzi has received the 2022 Nobel Prize in Chemistry “for the development of click chemistry and bioorthogonal chemistry.” Now a professor at Stanford University, Bertozzi received her PhD in chemistry from UCB in 1993, returned to serve as faculty in the Department of Chemistry from 1996-2015, and joined the MCB department as faculty in 2000.
