Congratulations to Daniel Nomura on his promotion to MCB Professor of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology!
Nomura's research uses chemoproteomic platforms to redefine druggability and enable innovative, transformative drug discovery and development. A core challenge in discovering new disease therapies is that most proteins are considered "undruggable," in that most proteins do not possess known binding pockets or "druggable hotspots" for small-molecules to bind and modulate protein function.
His research group addresses this challenge by developing chemoproteomic platforms to discover and pharmacologically target unique and novel druggable hotspots for disease therapy.
