MCB Professor Gary Firestone was awarded the Beckman Foundation’s Pyramid Award last week at the annual Beckman Symposium. The award recognizes his efforts starting, organizing, and revising the Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship program from 2014–2019.

The Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellowship program supports research at US institutions in the biological and chemical sciences and serves to transform “mentored yet independent” postdocs into outstanding, independent researchers in academic or industry/governmental labs.
