We are saddened to report the passing of our former colleague Alexander Glazer on Sunday, July 18, 2021, at the age of 86. Dr. Glazer joined the UC Berkeley faculty in 1976. His research contributions ranged from protein chemistry and structure-function relationships in proteins to enzymology and biophysical chemistry, mechanisms involved in photosynthesis, and developing methods for high sensitivity DNA sequencing and detection.
