Q. What aspects of your MCB degree program best helped you prepare for your career?
A. Berkeley's MCB prepared me for a future in medicine by challenging me to think critically through problems and learn through understanding rather than rote memorization. The MCB Department is filled with incredible faculty and graduate students who provided me with invaluable mentorship and support.
Q. How did you decide on your current career path?
A. I truly loved researching throughout undergrad and into my gap year, and through medicine, I can continue to tackle questions at the lab bench while also seeing the clinical applications that are more relevant to human health and well-being. The future of medicine is evolving due to novel therapeutics, and I am excited to see how breakthroughs in basic science translate to improvements in patient care.
