Q. What aspects of your MCB degree program best helped you prepare for your career?
A. The MCB program at Berkeley provided a strong scientific foundation that has been invaluable in my journey through medical school. The rigorous coursework, combined with hands-on research, taught me critical thinking and problem-solving skills that were imperative during school and now translate directly to clinical practice.
Q. How did you decide on your current career path?
A. I chose emergency medicine because of its dynamic nature, where every day presents new challenges and learning opportunities. I was particularly drawn to the field’s commitment to providing care to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay, embodying the core values that originally made me want to go to medical school. The hands-on, high-impact role of an emergency physician aligned with my desire to make a direct and meaningful difference in patients' lives.
