Q. What aspects of your MCB degree program best helped you prepare for your career?
A. It was quite remarkable to be able to interact one-on-one with professors who have contributed so much to scientific knowledge. I really appreciated the research-oriented education of the MCB program, and working in a Berkeley lab helped me grow so much as a person and scientist.
Q. How did you decide on your current career path?
A. At Berkeley I discovered a passion for basic science research and epigenetic regulation, which led me to pursue postbac training and later a PhD program.
Q. Share your favorite Berkeley lunch place, coffee shop, landmark study spot...etc.
A. I loved studying at the Doe Reading Room and getting a coffee at Strada or reading papers in the upstairs room in Cafe Milano.
