A. Academic rigor, peer competition, and independence of students
Q. How did you decide on your current career path?
A. I followed my passions. Biology was my main passion, so I will always be dedicated to the life sciences industry. However, I knew that I was better suited for economic and business strategy rather than the laboratory, so I found work at the intersection of economics and the life sciences. I have now realized that I want to be slightly closer to the scientific drivers of the industry, so I will continue along my path until I find the right role.
