Q. What aspects of your MCB degree program best helped you prepare for your career?
A. Research experience, mentorship from PI, diversity of electives offered, office hours to connect with different instructors
Q. How did you decide on your current career path?
A. My MCB research experience and the amazing classes taught by the best faculty made my interest in medicine stronger. Volunteering at hospitals and nursing homes as a pianist as well as caring for my grandfather with Alzheimer's during the COVID pandemic made me realize the importance of human-human interactions in medicine. I knew that I wanted to continue doing research as a medical student, and I'm currently doing research at a lab studying cardiovascular diseases where I'm applying a lot of what I learned from my undergraduate research experience at Berkeley.
