Q. What aspects of your MCB degree program best helped you prepare for your career?
A. Berkeley’s MCB program connected me with the lab where I acquired most of the experience that got me hired at my current company!
Q. How did you decide on your current career path?
A. I’ve always been very interested in the biotechnology industry. After experiencing basic research in academia as an undergraduate, I decided that translational science in a more fast-paced, goal-oriented environment is what I want (at least) for my first few years out of college. I’m not closing myself up for further education though! In fact, I am concurrently enrolled in a master’s program to better understand how biotechnology enterprises work and advance my knowledge of state-of-art research tools.
