Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology Andreas Martin is a member of a team of researchers from UC Berkeley and The Scripps Research Institute that used cryo-electron microscopy to determine the atomic structure of the isolated proteasome lid. Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology Michelle Chang has been honored with the Pfizer Award in Enzyme Chemistry, from the Division of Biological Chemistry in the American Chemical Society. This award is for outstanding work in enzyme chemistry where the presence of enzyme action is unequivocally demonstrated.
Professor of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Structural Biology Jennifer A. Doudna is the recipient of the 2016 Biopolymers Murray Goodman Memorial Prize from the Division of Biological Chemistry in the American Chemical Society. This award is for outstanding accomplishments in one or more of the areas of biochemistry, biophysical chemistry, biophysics, and/or chemical biology.
