Charles is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Chicago. He uses biochemical and genetic approaches to study how herpesviruses and poxviruses manipulate host translational machinery and the innate immune system. Outside of research, Charles enjoys swimming, hiking, biking, and live music (jazz, blues and classical).
