Biology of Cancer Faculty Recruitment

The Department of Molecular and Cell Biology (MCB) is soliciting applications for a new faculty member studying the biology of cancer; this position is open at any level (tenure-track or tenured). We seek candidates interested in the mechanisms of cancer and treatment of this disease with a primary focus on human cancer or mammalian models. Areas of interest include (but are not limited to) the genetics and epigenetics of cancer in humans or mouse models, tumor-host interactions, tumor metastasis, tumor immunology, cancer genomics, and the use of mouse models to dissect mechanisms of tumor initiation and progression. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership in the field of cancer biology at the university in the future. We seek candidates with Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree (or equivalent) who have demonstrated excellence, originality and productivity in research, and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching. Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent is required by date of application. We are particularly interested in candidates who will contribute to diversity and equal opportunity in higher education through their teaching, research and service. Potential start date is July 1, 2015.

Applicants who are currently tenured at an institute of higher education/ are an independent investigator should provide contact information for 3 - 5 referees. Do not request the letters through the system - we will only contact your referees if you are a finalist for the position, and we will seek your permission before doing so. Please note that your application will appear incomplete when you do not request the letters but will receive full consideration.
