Research

I received my B.S. in Biology from the University of Georgia in 2011, during which time I worked with Drosophila melanogaster in the laboratory of Dr. Daniel Promislow. I matriculated to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and conducted immunology and microbiology research under the collaborative supervision of Dr. Mary Hondalus, Dr. Liliana Jaso-Friedmann, and Dr. Donald Evans as a Merial Summer Veterinary Scholar and then as an AVMA/AVMF Research Scholar. I am working with the Dillin laboratory for one year as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute-Burroughs Wellcome Fund Medical Research Fellow, studying the UPRER and cell-nonautonomous mechanisms of regulation of protein homeostasis.
