A patient may exhibit any combination of BPH symptoms:
Increased frequency of urination, especially nocturia (urination at night).
Some difficulty starting and stopping urination.
Urine stream that is weak and thin.
Dribbling after urination.
Urgent feeling of need for urination.
Feeling that bladder has not emptied completely.
Urinary retention (inability to urinate).
Hematuria (blood in the urine).

Sign: frequent cystitis due to urinary retention and stagnation.
