These courses are open to students who have adequate backgrounds and have arranged to work in an MCB laboratory. Students taking MCB 99 must have fewer than 60 units; students taking MCB 199 must have completed 60 units of undergraduate work and must be in good academic standing. MCB 99 and 199 applications are available from the Forms to Download page. To receive MCB 199 credit for research, students must: - find an MCB faculty member to sponsor their research;
- submit a completed MCB 199 application (an application must be submitted each semester for which the student wishes to receive MCB 199 credit);
- submit a written report on the research project to their MCB sponsor at the end of each semester for which they receive MCB 199 credit.
