The revolution in the biological sciences has provided us with opportunities to apply diverse disciplines to a better understanding of human biology and disease. Individuals who are contemplating careers in the fields of bioscience and medicine have many paths to choose from, including MD, PhD, and MD/PhD educational tracks. This lecture will explore these alternatives and discuss which of the graduate programs is appropriate for each individual.
