Below is the application for the NSF REU program for Summer 2012. For information about the program see the Program Introduction. The application deadline is February 11, 2013.

Please review this check list before filling out the application. If you cannot check all of the boxes, then you are not eligible to participate in this program.

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident __

Interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in biological research __

Free to participate between June 1 and August 10, 2013 __

Will be attending a 4 year college or university in fall 2013 to work toward a Bachelor's degree __

Have completed at least one course in biology, one in chemistry by June 1, 2013__

If you meet every requirement in the list above, we welcome you to fill in all the requested information below and then click the Submit button. Please note that you must fill out the entire application including the short essay before you are able to submit it. Please print the confirmation page for your records.

In addition to the application below, all applicants are required to submit:

• Two letters of recommendation. Please download the recommendation form below and forward it electronically to your references. Please ask your references to e-mail the completed form as an attachment to ucb.reu.letters@gmail.com      Recommendation Form (doc)
• Transcript (unofficial copy is accetable for the application). Transcripts should be mailed to: REU Applications, University of California, MCB, 385 LSA, Berkeley, CA 94720-3200. If accepted to the program, an official copy of the transcript may be required.
