PERMANENT SECTION SWITCHES

Deadline for switches is 3:00 PM Tuesday July 3rd.

Permanently switching sections can be done, but generally it will be up to you to find someone who is willing to do an exact switch with you. To find another person who wants to switch, you may subscribe to a listserve that has been set up. Here are the instructions to subscribe.

Send an email to majordomo@lists.berkeley.edu.

In the messabe body include "subscribe bio1a_sum07_switch".

You will receive an email requiring you to confirm.

After subscribing, you will be able to send messages to everyone on the list be sending an email to bio1a_sum07_switch@lists.berkeley.edu. You'll need to send your request more than once as new subscribers will not have received any earlier emails.

You must find someone who can do an exact switch with you. This means that if you are enrolled in both 1A and 1AL, you will switch both discussion and lab sections. You cannot mix lab and discussion section numbers. If you are enrolled in only 1A or only 1AL, you must find someone in the same situation to switch just discussion or just lab.

Once you have found someone to switch with, you can request the switch in person or by email. To request the switch in person, both parties of the switch must see Erol Kepkep in 2098 VLSB (between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM). To request the switch by email both parties must send an email from their personal email accounts to bio1a@berkeley.edu stating the details of the switch. Receiving an email from both parties involved in the switch is quired to confirm the switch.

Deadline for switches is 3:00 PM Tuesday July 3rd. After july 3rd, no permanent switches will be possible.
