I am a PhD candidate in the Molecular and Cellular Biology program and am interested in non-coding RNA’s and potential roles they may have in Drosophila heterochromatin formation and development. In my spare time I enjoy spending time outdoors, painting, and botany.

Prior to Cal, I graduated from the University of Oklahoma and worked for several years developing a DNA repair assay. This culminated in a passion for basic science, leading me to the Molecular and Cellular Biology program.
