Greg Barton received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He performed his graduate work in the lab of Alexander Rudensky at the University of Washington and his postdoctoral training with Ruslan Medzhitov at Yale University. He joined the faculty at Berkeley in 2005.

Jacques Deguine, a postdoctoral fellow, joined the lab in 2012. He performed his graduate work in the lab of Philippe Bousso at the Pasteur Institute, Paris. Jacques studies the molecular pathways controlling inflammation.

Alex Engel, a postdoctoral fellow, joined the lab in 2008. He received his undergraduate degree from Pomona College. He performed his graduate work in the lab of Peter Walter at UCSF. Alex studies compartmental control of TLR signaling and the endosomal trafficking pathways that build nucleic acid sensing/TLR signaling endosomes.
