Upcoming Conference 

“Is a PhD for Me” What you can be with a Ph.D. in biomedical sciences is a free one-day conference that will provide information to students with disabilities who are thinking about applying to graduate school. The conference will take place on Saturday, April 14th, 9am - 3pm, 245 Li Ka Shing Hall, University of California, Berkeley [Map]  If you require any accommodations to fully participate in this event (i.e. interpreting, CART captioning, materials presented in alternative formats, etc.) please contact Ben Perez at bperez@berkeley.edu

 

Talks and Activities include:

  • Talks and panel discussions featuring leading researchers and students who will share their experiences navigating graduate school with a disability
  • Panel discussion lead by UC Berkeley Disabled Student’s Program (DSP) staff
  • Cutting-edge research talks presented by UC Berkeley faculty in the biomedical sciences 
  • Panels led by faculty admissions experts who will give tips on applying to graduate school
  • Lunch and afternoon networking session with faculty, students and DSP staff
