Dear MCB140 students,
First, my apologies that it took me quite a bit of time to properly regrade your exams.
Second, please do not take the brevity of my comments on your queries as indicative of anything other than a desire to focus all available time on the gist of your argument – rather than a “rebuttal” of some sort.
My compliments to all of you for such well-phrased and thought-out appeals for more points; do not be disheartened by faculty disagreement – you are on the right track.
Good luck on the final exam – and don’t forget, this is just a test, and college is just school – real-life genetics is endlessly more challenging and fascinating!

PS. You may pick up your regrades from Teresa Lee – and if you want to discuss the underlying science, I am happy to meet with you sometime in January.
