Getting Started with PubMed at UCB

Note: Some of the links and services may not work from an off campus computer!

Additional guideline information can be found onthe Library PubMed Tutorial

Simply click on the UC eLinks button in the abstract display to get access to the full text of the journal or UCB holdings in Melvyl or to newest items UCB doesn't own.

If you are searching Pubmed from home via an internet service provider you will need to have the proxy server set up to be able to access the full text articles UCB has licensed.

A new window will open with our holdings information from the Melvyl catalog. Sometimes there will be online access that doesn't show in Pubmed or a print copy of the journal.

You may request an article that isn't in the UC system at the reference desk (This is unlikely in the realm of 130L, but may be usefull none the less) It usually takes a about a week to a week and a half to get the article to you. The articles may take a while so plan ahead!
