Samples need to be put in a secondary container such as a 50 mL falcon tube to prevent from crushing during shipping.
WE ACCEPT SAMPLES ALL DAY. PLEASE COME TO 310 BARKER HALL WHEN YOU MISS SCHEDULED PICK UP TIME.
Turnaround Time:
- You should receive your results via e-mail by the following business day if not sooner.
- Early bird catches the worm: The results of the first three plates of the day are e-mailed by 7PM on the same day.
- Please let us know right away if you do not receive your results by the expected date.
Accounting Information:
- For those with UC Berkeley accounts: We need your chartstring (e.g. 1-56620-19900-22233-44-none-FN248) or a 10 digit "speed-type" reference to your chartstring. You can use the Chart of Accounts Validation Web Service to check that your on-campus accounting information is current. If it is not, contact your lab manager, your accounting department or your PI.
- For those without UC Berkeley accounts: Labs from other UC campuses should use the accounting information you would normally use for any on-campus charge. Labs from CHORI and LBNL are charged the on-campus rate plus the cost of billing (7.49%) and should have a current purchase order number or IUT number. Outside labs should generate a purchase order and attach it to their order form or send a check with your samples made out to "UC Regents".

How do view my chromatogram files:
- Each sample generates two files. The file ending .seq is a text file and the file ending .ab1 is a chromatogram. We strongly recommend that you visually inspect the chromatogram files.
- There is free software available on the Internet that will allow you to view your results.
